TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
The TREMEC Magnum XL T56 6-Speed manual transmission provides a strong and versatile upgrade for Chevrolet and GMC trucks requiring increased performance capability and improved highway cruising. Featuring double overdrive sixth gear ratios, the transmission allows lower engine RPM during highway driving while maintaining close gear spacing for improved performance.
This kit is available with either wide-ratio or close-ratio gearing options. Wide-ratio gearing provides improved launch performance and versatility, while close-ratio gearing provides tighter shifts for performance-oriented applications.
TREMEC Magnum XL gear ratios:
- Wide Ratio: 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, 0.63
- Close Ratio: 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, 0.63
The kit utilizes the factory crossmember location and includes a hydraulic clutch release bearing system engineered to work with the original clutch pedal and master cylinder design. A reverse lockout control module is included to manage reverse gear protection during operation.
