Product Description:
Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the following.
Reposition the factory alternator and power steering pump on your 1993–1997 Chevrolet Camaro / Pontiac Firebird with the LT1 engine using this billet aluminum accessory relocation kit. Made in the USA, the kit uses CNC-machined billet brackets to provide additional alternator / valve-cover clearance while retaining the factory alternator and power steering pump.
A/C-delete application: Installing this kit eliminates the factory air conditioning. Select it for an LT1 accessory layout where A/C removal is acceptable.

Fitment note: Confirm the installed LT1 engine and factory-style alternator / power steering arrangement before ordering. Check the intended valve covers, accessory mounting points and surrounding clearance, especially on modified vehicles. This application removes the factory A/C system from the accessory drive.
- One upper accessory relocation bracket
- One lower alternator / idler bracket
- Solid tensioner components
- Two pulleys for the upper and lower bracket assemblies
- Spacers for bracket and alternator positioning
- Supplied Grade 8 mounting hardware, including bolts, washers and nuts
The bracket arrangement relocates the alternator to create clearance around the valve-cover area while mounting the original power steering pump in the revised accessory layout. The supplied tensioner, pulleys and spacers work with the upper and lower brackets to establish the belt path shown in the installation guide.
This is a newly manufactured performance accessory-drive kit. The installed-engine photo illustrates the completed arrangement with the factory accessories. Select the drive belt after the brackets and accessories are positioned: the guide calls for measuring the belt and making final tensioner and bracket adjustments.
Read the complete illustrated guide before starting. The five-page PDF shows bracket assembly, spacer locations, alternator and power steering attachment, and the final belt-measurement step.

- Confirm that the planned installation removes the factory air conditioning. Disconnect battery power before handling alternator connections, then follow the guide and applicable GM service procedure for removing the belt and factory accessory bracket.
- Assemble the main upper bracket, solid tensioner and pulley with the hardware specified in the guide. Fit the bracket to the engine using the illustrated spacer and bolt locations.
- Assemble and mount the lower alternator / idler bracket. Install the alternator with the specified spacers and adjustable lower attachment.
- Attach the power steering pump and pulley assembly through the pulley access holes as shown. Check bracket seating, accessory clearance and pulley alignment.
- Measure for the drive belt after the assembly is positioned. Make the final bracket and tensioner adjustments, check fasteners and belt tracking, then verify operation before returning the vehicle to service.
Can I retain the factory air conditioning?
This kit eliminates the factory A/C. Choose it for an LT1 accessory layout planned around A/C deletion.
Does it work with the original alternator and power steering pump?
Yes. The kit is designed around the factory alternator and power steering pump used in the verified LT1 application.
Why relocate the alternator?
The revised position is intended to provide clearance around the valve-cover area. Compare your intended valve covers and surrounding components before installation.
Which drive-belt length should I use?
The guide directs you to measure for the belt after the accessories are positioned and to make final tensioner and bracket adjustments. A fixed belt length is not specified in the instructions.
Is this for every 1993–1997 Camaro or Firebird?
The verified application is the LT1 engine with the required factory-style alternator and power steering components and an A/C-delete layout. Confirm the installed engine and accessory configuration before ordering.
