Product Details

The relay wiring supplies the passenger window motor through a dedicated fused power feed rather than relying on the original power path alone. This addresses the electrical supply side of slow passenger-window operation while adding the convenience of one-touch lowering.

The express-down function operates the same passenger window from either door’s switch. It is useful when the driver wants to lower the passenger window without holding the control through the full downward travel. Inspect the motor, wiring and window mechanism when diagnosing slow or intermittent movement; an electrical upgrade should not be treated as a repair for every mechanical or motor fault.

Installation Notes
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable before working on the wiring. Remove the passenger door trim and access panels as directed in the illustrated guide.
  2. Route the module wires through the factory passages and door-to-body boot. Identify the switch connector cavities against the manufacturer diagram before making the specified splices.
  3. Use the correct power-source location for the model year: the guide identifies the passenger-side power stud for 1993–1997 and the driver-side positive stud, reached across the radiator support, for 1998–2002.
  4. Place the inline fuse holder within 6 inches of the power source as specified by AutoTrix. Protect the wiring and secure the connections before testing.
  5. Reconnect and test passenger-window operation from both switches before reinstalling the trim.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which window does this kit operate?
It upgrades the right-hand passenger power-window circuit on 1993–2002 Camaro / Firebird models.

Can the driver activate passenger express down?
Yes. The advertised one-touch lowering function works from both the driver’s passenger-window control and the passenger-door switch.

What does one-touch express down mean?
A brief press of the window-down control starts the passenger window lowering through its travel, rather than requiring the switch to be held continuously.

Will it cure every slow or inoperative window?
The kit addresses the electrical power feed and adds express down. Check the motor and window mechanism as part of diagnosis; other faults can still require service.

Is the window motor part of the standard kit?
The standard supplied components are the module, relays, wire, fuses, fuse holder and connectors listed above. A replacement window motor is offered separately as an additional product option.
