This new reproduction plug closes the original PCV valve opening at the rear of the driver-side valve cover on compatible LS1 applications. It is commonly required when the crankcase-ventilation layout is changed to a compatible valley-cover-based arrangement.

Configuration-Specific Part
This plug is not a universal cure for crankcase-ventilation problems. Confirm the complete PCV routing before deleting the original valve-cover connection.
Driver-Side Valve Cover Location
GM 12568011 is used at the rear of the driver-side rocker cover in the compatible conversion layout.
Check for Vacuum Leaks
A damaged or incorrectly seated plug can create an air leak and should be inspected after installation.

- Allow the engine to cool and disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Document the original component position and surrounding connections before disassembly.

- Install the replacement in the factory-style position using the applicable service procedure.
- Reconnect all disturbed systems and verify clearance, alignment and normal operation before driving.
