Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this Speed Engineering 25-1031 1998-2002 LS1 Camaro Firebird Trans Am True Dual 3 Inch Rear Exit Exhaust System designed for fourth generation GM F-body V8 applications using compatible long tube headers. This system gives LS1-powered Camaro, Firebird, Formula, and Trans Am models a high-flow true dual exhaust layout with rear exit tailpipes and dual 4 inch exhaust tips.
This exhaust system features mandrel-bent 3 inch tubing, a true dual X-pipe layout, stainless band clamps, insulated bullet-style blow-through mufflers, and natural 304 stainless steel construction. The rear exit design routes the exhaust toward the rear of the vehicle instead of using an axle dump layout, making it a strong option for customers wanting true dual performance with a more traditional rear-exit appearance.
This system is designed for 1998-2002 Camaro and Firebird V8 models equipped with 5.7L LS1 / LS-based engines. It is intended for use with compatible F-body long tube headers and is not designed to connect to factory exhaust manifolds or original factory exhaust equipment. This makes it best suited for modified street/strip, competition, and performance builds where long tube headers are already installed or being added.
Because rear exit true dual systems require careful routing over the axle area, this system requires a panhard rod relocation kit for proper rear axle clearance. Lowered vehicles may require additional modification for ground clearance. Professional installation is recommended, especially on vehicles with aftermarket suspension, torque arm changes, lowered ride height, or non-standard header setups.
