This new reproduction fuel-tank vent valve is designed for 1998 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird V6 and V8 fuel-vapor systems.
It replaces a damaged, restricted or missing original valve and references GM part number 10033125 while preserving the model-year-specific Hawks application.

Fuel tank, vapor hoses, clamps, charcoal canister, wiring and diagnostic service are not included.
Fuel-Tank Pressure Management
The valve supports the intended movement of vapor and air through the fuel-tank ventilation system. A fault can contribute to pressure, odor or EVAP-system complaints.
Year Range Is Critical
Choose this 1998 version according to the vehicle model year. The shared GM reference does not make every Hawks year-range SKU interchangeable.
Diagnose the Entire EVAP System
Cracked vapor lines, a restricted canister, damaged tank fittings or other EVAP faults can mimic a failed valve. Inspect the complete system.
- Work in a well-ventilated area away from flames, sparks and hot surfaces.
- Relieve fuel-system pressure as directed by the factory service information and disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Document the original valve orientation and hose routing before removal.
- Release aged vapor lines carefully; replace any cracked or fuel-damaged hose separately.
- Compare the replacement valve ports and indexing features with the original before installation.
- Install the valve in the original orientation and reconnect each vapor line securely.
- Reconnect the battery and inspect the EVAP system for leaks, damaged lines or diagnostic trouble codes.
