Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 234-2801 GM Gen V LT1/LT4 6.2L Pro Series Flywheel Bolt Kit, 12-Point Chromoly, Black Oxide, ARP for compatible Gen V LT-series manual transmission applications. This Pro Series kit includes eight 11mm x 1.5 flywheel bolts with a 1.125" underhead length, 12-point heads, and a black oxide finish. The bolts are designed specifically for the Gen V LT flywheel application and do not use washers.

When you're putting a manual-transmission LT1 or LT4 together, the flywheel hardware is one of those details you don't want to leave to chance. This is the hardware that ties the crankshaft and flywheel together when you're putting serious torque through the drivetrain, so grabbing the right bolts for the job matters. The 234-2801 kit gives a performance LT build the beefy ARP hardware you'd expect to see behind a properly built 6.2L, with the flat 12-point heads giving the bolts a clean look and solid socket engagement.

ARP manufactures these Pro Series flywheel bolts from heat-treated 8740 chromoly and gives them a larger-than-stock shank diameter for increased strength and improved flywheel register. The bolts are rated at 190,000 psi and are supplied as a set of eight. This kit is intended for compatible Gen V LT-series manual flywheel applications and is not intended for automatic-transmission flexplate applications.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

  • Kit includes 8 flywheel bolts.
  • Washers are not included and are not specified for use with this application.
  • Bolts use an M11 x 1.5 thread.
  • Underhead length is 1.125".
  • Use the appropriate 3/4" 12-point socket for the bolt heads.
  • This kit is intended for manual-transmission flywheel applications.
  • Do not use these bolts for automatic-transmission flexplates.
  • Verify flywheel, crankshaft flange, bolt-hole diameter, thread pitch, and required bolt length before installation.
  • Clean and inspect the crankshaft and flywheel mounting surfaces before assembly.
  • Make sure the threaded holes are clean and free of debris, oil, or other contaminants.
  • Follow ARP's current installation instructions for lubricant and final torque procedures.
  • Do not substitute factory fastener torque specifications without confirming they are appropriate for the ARP fasteners.
  • Verify adequate clearance between the 12-point bolt heads and the flywheel.
  • Important: These bolts may not work with the factory GM dual-mass flywheel because of bolt-head/socket access. Verify flywheel compatibility before installation.
  • Test-fit the flywheel and complete hardware set before final torque.
  • Verify fitment before ordering when using aftermarket flywheels, dual-disc clutch systems, or modified drivetrain combinations.
