Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 234-4343 Gen V Chevrolet 6.2L LT1/LT4 Head Stud Kit, ARP2000 12-Point, With M8 Corner Studs, ARP for Gen V 6.2L LT1 and LT4 engine builds requiring a high-strength cylinder head fastening solution. This ARP Pro Series kit uses ARP2000 material, 12-point nuts, hardened parallel-ground washers, and includes the M8 corner studs for compatible applications.

If you're already into an LT1 or LT4 with the heads off, this is the time to upgrade the hardware that actually holds the cylinder heads down. Head studs make engine assembly easier and provide consistent clamping as the heads are torqued down, making them a popular choice for serious street cars, boosted builds, and engines that are being pushed harder than stock. The ARP2000 material brings 220,000 psi tensile strength to the build, giving the engine builder a substantial step up in fastener strength for a performance-oriented LT engine.

The 234-4343 kit is specifically the version with M8 corner studs. The kit includes the primary cylinder head studs, M8 corner studs, 12-point nuts, and hardened parallel-ground washers. The M8 corner-stud configuration is important when matching the fasteners to the engine block and cylinder head combination.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

• Verify ARP part number 234-4343 against the engine and cylinder head configuration before installation.
• This kit includes M8 corner studs.
• The M8 corner-stud locations are already drilled and tapped in the applicable engine block.
• The additional M8 stud locations may not be drilled in certain LT1 cylinder heads. Verify the cylinder head before attempting installation.
• If the cylinder head does not have the required M8 corner-stud holes, machining/drilling may be required for the additional studs.
• Inspect all studs, nuts, washers, and corner hardware before installation.
• Clean all block threads before installing the studs.
• ARP specifies M12 x 1.75 and M8 x 1.25 thread-chaser sizes for the applicable locations.
• Install studs hand-tight; do not use the nut to force a stud into the block.
• Use the ARP-specified assembly lubricant and torque procedure for final installation.
• Follow ARP's installation instructions rather than automatically applying factory head-bolt torque specifications.
• Verify washer and nut orientation before final torque.
• Do not modify the cylinder heads or engine block until fitment and the required stud configuration have been confirmed.
• Test-fit the complete hardware set before final engine assembly.
