This turnkey Builder Series powertrain package combines a professionally assembled 400 cubic-inch GM Small Block-compatible crate engine with a matched 700R4 automatic transmission, providing an excellent solution for classic muscle cars, street rods, trucks, and custom performance builds.
Producing 500 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque, the engine features a BluePrint high-strength cast iron 4-bolt main block, forged rotating assembly, BluePrint aluminum cylinder heads, and a hydraulic roller camshaft for outstanding street performance and reliability. Fuel delivery is handled by an electronic fuel injection system mounted on a dual-plane aluminum intake manifold, delivering improved cold starts, throttle response, drivability, and tuning flexibility compared to a traditional carbureted setup.
The included 700R4 automatic transmission package is matched to the engine and includes a 2200–2400 RPM stall torque converter, flexplate, and starter to simplify installation. The polished front accessory drive system includes a reverse-rotation short water pump, 140-amp one-wire alternator, Type II power steering pump with remote reservoir, and air conditioning compressor, creating a clean, finished appearance while reducing the number of additional components required to complete your build.
