This PerfectFit™ transmission conversion kit is designed specifically for automatic-to-manual conversions, allowing classic GM B-Body vehicles to be upgraded with modern 5-speed overdrive performance, improved highway drivability, and increased transmission strength.

Designed for 1958-1964 GM B-Body applications including Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, Bonneville, Catalina, and Grand Prix models, this TREMEC TKX PerfectFit™ Kit provides the strength and reliability needed for classic street builds, pro-touring applications, and upgraded cruiser vehicles.
The TREMEC TKX 5-Speed features a compact rounded case design, 600 lb-ft torque capacity, and the ability to handle 7,500 rpm shifts. The TKX provides modern overdrive gearing for reduced highway RPM, improved fuel economy, lower operating temperatures, and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness.
The TKX transmission is available with multiple gear ratio options. Wide ratio gearing includes 3.27, 1.98, 1.34, 1.00, and 0.72. Close ratio gearing includes 2.87, 1.89, 1.28, 1.00, and 0.68 or 0.81 overdrive options.
This Auto To TREMEC TKX Conversion Kit includes the necessary components to convert from an automatic transmission setup, including the TREMEC TKX 5-Speed overdrive transmission, STX Shifters® with factory-correct offset positioning, McLeod flywheel, McLeod clutch, hydraulic clutch kit, shifter handle, shifter knob, crossmember, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, pilot bearing, installation hardware, and detailed instructions with lifetime technical support.
The hydraulic clutch conversion system provides modern pedal feel and reduced effort while maintaining reliable operation. The included crossmember is CAD designed and box welded for improved rigidity, exhaust clearance, and long-term durability.
