This PerfectFit™ transmission conversion kit is engineered specifically for automatic transmission vehicles being converted to a modern TREMEC TKX 5-speed manual. It includes the major components required for an automatic-to-manual conversion while delivering improved performance, strength, and highway drivability.

Designed for 1965-1970 GM B-Body applications including Impala, Caprice, Bel Air, Biscayne, Bonneville, Catalina, and Grand Prix models, this PerfectFit™ kit delivers modern manual transmission performance while maintaining excellent fitment and factory-style shifter positioning.
The TREMEC TKX features a compact rounded case, 600 lb-ft torque capacity, and the ability to handle 7,500 RPM shifts. The double overdrive design improves fuel economy, lowers cruising RPM, reduces engine wear, and minimizes noise, vibration, and harshness for an enjoyable driving experience.
The TKX is available with wide and close ratio gear sets. Wide ratio gearing includes 3.27, 1.98, 1.34, 1.00, and 0.72. Close ratio gearing includes 2.87, 1.89, 1.28, 1.00, and 0.68 or 0.81 overdrive options.
This Auto to TKX conversion kit includes the TREMEC TKX 5-Speed transmission, STX Shifters®, McLeod flywheel, McLeod clutch, hydraulic clutch actuator kit, pilot bearing, crossmember, slip yoke, shifter handle, shifter knob, transmission fluid, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, installation hardware, and detailed instructions backed by lifetime technical support.
