This TREMEC Magnum Basic Kit provides classic GM B-Body vehicles with modern 6-speed double overdrive performance while allowing experienced builders the flexibility to complete custom installation modifications.

Installation Notice: This is a Basic Kit intended for builders capable of modifying or fabricating their own crossmember and tunnel hump. Additional components and fabrication may be required depending on vehicle configuration.
Designed for 1965-1970 GM B-Body applications including Impala, Caprice, Bel Air, Biscayne, Bonneville, Catalina, and Grand Prix models, this TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed Kit delivers increased performance, improved highway cruising, and modern drivability for classic GM builds.
The TREMEC T56 Magnum 6-Speed features a double overdrive design, 700 lb-ft torque capacity, and strong internal components designed for street performance applications. The additional overdrive gears reduce engine RPM at highway speeds, improving fuel economy, reducing engine wear, and creating a more comfortable driving experience.
The TREMEC Magnum is available with wide and close ratio gear sets. Wide ratio gearing includes 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63. Alternate gearing includes 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63.
This Basic Kit includes the essential components needed for a custom installation, including the TREMEC T56 Magnum 6-Speed transmission, slip yoke, pilot bearing, isolator mount, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, installation hardware, and detailed instructions with lifetime technical support.
