Product Description:
Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1970-1973 Camaro Black Premier Perforated Vinyl 5-Bow Headliner with Sun Visor Material, Acme 70-1413-PRP1179.
This replacement headliner is manufactured for 1970-1973 Chevrolet Camaro two-door models equipped with the original suspended five-bow headliner system. It is sewn to an original-style roof pattern using Black Premier Perforated Vinyl to provide the proper perforated texture and factory-style appearance associated with deluxe-interior Camaro applications.
The headliner arrives pre-sewn with listings or sleeves that accept the vehicle’s original five metal headliner bows. The original bows must be removed from the old headliner, marked according to their front-to-rear positions and transferred into the matching listings of the replacement headliner. Headliner bows are not included.
Matching loose Black Premier Perforated Vinyl material is included for recovering the vehicle’s original sun visors where applicable. This helps the surrounding components coordinate with the replacement headliner. The supplied material is unfinished covering yardage and does not include completed sun visors, replacement visor cores, finished sail panels or mounting hardware.
This product is a tailored, pre-sewn bow-suspended headliner. It is not loose headliner material by the yard, a foam-backed scrape-and-cover kit or a molded ABS headliner board.
Professional installation is recommended. A bow-style headliner must be centered carefully, progressively tensioned and secured around the perimeter without creating wrinkles or shifting the seams. Current manufacturer-based product records also provide a 36-month limited warranty.

Fitment Warnings
Verify the headliner system before ordering. This product fits Camaro models that retain the original five-bow suspended headliner. It does not fit a vehicle using a molded one-piece headliner board.
Some references describe the factory-style five-bow application as fitting 1970 through early 1973 Camaro coupes. Because 1973 vehicles may differ by production date or previous interior modifications, physically inspect the roof and count the existing bows before ordering.
Bows are not supplied. The vehicle must retain five usable original headliner bows and the necessary roof attachment points.
Extra material is not a finished visor set. The package includes loose matching material for recovering the original visor cores and applicable sail panels. Sewing or upholstery work is required.
Hardtop application: This product is intended for two-door coupe or hardtop models with the original full-roof bow-style headliner system.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Before removing the original headliner, label each bow according to its position from front to rear. The bows may vary in length or contour and should be returned to their original positions.
Remove the sun visors, visor brackets, dome-light assembly, coat hooks, windlace and surrounding interior moldings as required to release the old headliner. Retain all reusable original hardware and trim.
Carefully slide each bow from the old headliner and insert it through the corresponding sewn listing in the new headliner. Avoid forcing a bow through the material or placing the bows in the wrong sequence.
Position the new headliner in the vehicle and establish the front-to-rear and side-to-side centerlines. Suspend all five bows before permanently securing the perimeter.
Gradually tension the material by working from the center toward the corners and alternating between opposite sides. Do not fully stretch one side before adjusting the other because uneven tension may produce diagonal wrinkles or shift the headliner off-center.
Do not trim away excess perimeter material until the headliner is centered, evenly tensioned and checked for proper bow placement. Openings for the dome light, visor brackets and coat hooks should be cut only after the final position is established.
Use the included matching material to recover the original sun visor cores and sail panels where applicable. Sun visor recovering normally requires sewing or edge binding to produce a finished appearance. Ready-to-install sun visors are not included with this headliner-only product.
Professional installation is recommended. Black vinyl may appear lighter, grayer or glossier under photography lighting or electronic displays. Compare a physical PRP1179 material sample when an exact match with existing interior trim is required.
