This OER reproduction rubber bumper is designed to help prevent glove box door rattling and looseness by providing a proper stop point at the glove box door arm. When the original bumper is missing, flattened, hardened, cracked, or deteriorated, the glove box door can feel loose, noisy, or poorly supported during normal driving.
This is a small part, but it earns its parking spot in the dash. Without it, the glove box door can chatter like loose pocket change under the lower dashboard. Replacing the bumper is a useful detail when servicing the glove box door, glove box liner, striker, support strap, lower dash panel, or related interior hardware.
