Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the following OER four-spoke Sport steering-wheel kit for select 1971–1981 Chevrolet and GMC applications.
This complete steering-wheel kit reproduces the original GM NK4-style Sport wheel used in numerous Chevrolet applications during the 1970s and early 1980s. The wheel features the correct four-spoke configuration, soft black padded rim and original-style leather-grain texture for an authentic factory appearance and feel.
The kit provides the steering wheel and central horn-cap components needed to replace a cracked, faded, sticky or otherwise deteriorated original steering wheel. The vehicle-specific center emblem is not included, allowing the installer to select the appropriate Camaro, Chevrolet, Z28, Berlinetta, LT or other emblem for the application.
This is the smooth leather-grain Sport steering wheel. It should not be confused with the simulated rope-grip wheel associated with the 1978–1981 Camaro Z28.

Installation Notes
Select the proper center emblem for the vehicle before installation. The same steering-wheel kit can serve several Chevrolet and GMC models, but the visible center emblem determines whether the finished installation appears correct for the vehicle.
Keep the front wheels and steering column centered while removing and replacing the wheel. A steering-wheel puller may be required to remove the original wheel without damaging the steering shaft or column.
Confirm the vehicle’s horn-contact arrangement and steering-column compatibility before beginning installation.

Is this the complete version of OER 458998?
Yes. OER 881346 contains the smooth four-spoke Sport wheel along with the center horn-cap components. The model-specific emblem remains separate.
Is the center emblem included?
No. The visible vehicle or trim-level emblem must be purchased separately.
Is this a rope-grip steering wheel?
No. This kit uses the smooth, padded leather-grain Sport wheel. The current OER rope-grip kit is part number 881352.
Does this kit fit the 1980–1981 Camaro Z28?
OER specifically excludes the 1980–1981 Z28 from the 881346 application list. Those models use the rope-design Z28-style steering wheel.
Does it fit a 1979–1981 Camaro Berlinetta?
The kit is compatible with the supported Camaro steering-wheel arrangement, but a correct Berlinetta center emblem must be selected separately to complete the proper appearance.
What is the difference between 881346 and 881352?
