Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1974-1981 Camaro Firebird Trans Am Dark Red Foam-Backed Perforated Vinyl Headliner Material, Material Only, Acme 74-1513P-FBH5.
This replacement headliner material is designed for recovering a structurally sound original or replacement headliner board in a second-generation Camaro, Firebird, Formula or Trans Am. The perforated vinyl face provides a factory-style appearance, while the attached foam backing creates the cushioned layer required between the finished vinyl surface and the headliner board.
This material can be used to replace an original headliner covering that has become faded, stained, torn, loose or separated from its deteriorated foam backing. It is intended to be installed over a clean, dry and reusable headliner board.
This listing includes the foam-backed perforated vinyl material only. The headliner board, sun visors, visor brackets, roof trim, mounting hardware and installation adhesive are not included.

Application note: This is replacement covering material rather than a molded or pre-cut headliner board. Confirm that the existing board is structurally sound and verify the amount of material required for the vehicle’s roof configuration before installation.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Remove the headliner board from the vehicle before attempting to recover it. Carefully remove the original covering, deteriorated foam and loose adhesive without damaging the board underneath.
The board must be clean, dry and structurally sound. Repair cracks, weak mounting areas or damaged edges before applying the new material.
Dry-fit and center the material before applying adhesive. Use a high-temperature automotive headliner adhesive that is compatible with foam-backed vinyl. Lay the material flat and work gradually from the center toward the edges. Do not stretch the material during installation because stretching can distort the perforated pattern and weaken the adhesive bond.
Allow the adhesive to cure according to the manufacturer’s directions before trimming excess material or reinstalling the board. Professional installation is recommended when the original board is brittle, warped, cracked or previously repaired.
Interior colors shown on computer monitors and mobile devices may vary. Comparing a physical sample with the vehicle’s existing trim is recommended when an exact color match is required.
