Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1974-1981 Camaro Firebird Trans Am Light Silver Blue Foam-Backed Perforated Vinyl Headliner Material, Material Only, Acme 74-1513P-FBH10.

This replacement headliner material is designed for recovering a structurally sound original or replacement headliner board. The Light Silver Blue color, also commonly searched as light blue, is identified as the closest available color match for many 1977-1979 GM interior applications. The FBH10 color is offered within the foam-backed perforated vinyl material family.

The perforated vinyl face provides a factory-style appearance, while the attached foam backing creates the cushioned layer needed between the finished vinyl surface and the headliner board. This material can be used to replace a faded, stained, torn, loose or deteriorated original headliner covering. Acme foam-backed perforated vinyl is intended for covering ABS or pressboard-style headliner boards.

This listing includes the replacement foam-backed perforated vinyl material only. A headliner board, sun visors, visor brackets, trim moldings, mounting hardware and installation adhesive are not included.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Remove the headliner board from the vehicle and carefully strip away the old vinyl, deteriorated foam and loose adhesive. The existing board must be clean, dry and structurally sound before the replacement material is installed.

Dry-fit and center the material before applying adhesive. Use a high-temperature automotive headliner adhesive that is compatible with foam-backed vinyl. Lay the material flat and work gradually from the center toward the outer edges. Do not excessively stretch the material, as stretching can distort the perforation pattern and cause adhesion problems.

Allow the adhesive to cure according to its instructions before trimming excess material or reinstalling the headliner board. Professional installation is recommended when the original board is cracked, brittle, warped or has been previously repaired.

Computer monitors, phone screens and photography lighting can alter the appearance of interior colors. Requesting or comparing a physical material sample is recommended when matching original 1977-1979 trim, sun visors or interior moldings.
