After nearly 50 years of use, the exterior door handles, connecting rods, clips, gaskets, and lock components on a second-generation Camaro, Firebird, or Trans Am can become worn, brittle, loose, or difficult to operate. Replacing these common failure points together with the Pro Pack is a smart way to restore dependable door and lock operation while avoiding the frustration of repairing one aging component only to have another fail shortly afterward.
A repaint or exterior restoration is also the ideal time to replace these components. Removing the old handles, locks, and deteriorated gaskets before painting allows the doors to be properly prepared and painted beneath each component.
