Replace both worn or damaged exterior door handles on your second-generation F-body with this pair of OER reproductions. Designed for 1976–1981 Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, Formula, and Trans Am models, the set includes one left-hand driver-side handle and one right-hand passenger-side handle.
Both handles are manufactured from die-cast metal and supplied with a gloss-black finish. The black finish eliminates the traditional chrome appearance and provides a clean blackout treatment for factory-inspired restorations, custom builds, pro-touring vehicles, and exterior color changes.
After four to five decades of use, original exterior door handles can become loose, scratched, faded, or difficult to operate. Their internal springs and moving components experience wear every time the doors are opened. Replacing both handles together helps restore dependable door operation while providing a consistent finish across both sides of the vehicle.
A repaint is an excellent time to replace the exterior door handles. Removing the old handles before paint preparation allows the door surfaces beneath them to be properly prepared and painted. Installing the replacement handles after the paint has cured creates a clean, professional finish without visible tape-off marks, old outlines, or rough overspray edges.
NOTE: These black exterior door handles can be properly prepared and painted for a custom build or color-matched to the vehicle.
