Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Exterior Decal and Premolded Body Stripe Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 1982TA.
Designed specifically for the first year of the third-generation Trans Am, this officially licensed GM Restoration Parts reproduction package restores the exterior Firebird graphics, Trans Am identification and lower-body striping used on applicable 1982 models.
The kit includes:
- One front nose-bird decal
- Two sail-panel bird decals
- Two Trans Am front-fender names
- One premolded front-bumper stripe
- Two premolded rear-bumper stripes
- Four premolded body-side stripes
- Installation squeegee and instructions
Available factory-style colors include:
- Gold
- Silver
- Black
The Gold graphics are correct for the limited-production black Recaro-equipped Trans Am application. Customers completing a factory-correct restoration should verify the vehicle’s original paint and graphic color before ordering.
Each stripe section is premolded for its intended body-panel location. Unlike universal roll striping that must be manually shaped and trimmed, these formed sections simplify positioning around the front bumper, body sides and rear bumper while recreating the original factory-style layout.
This package uses the small front nose bird originally associated with the 1982 Trans Am. It does not include the large louvered-style hood bird introduced for the 1983 model year.
The optional 12-inch front-of-hood bird, Recaro T/A door-handle inserts, Fuel Injection door-handle inserts, assembly-line labels and technical decals are not included and must be purchased separately when required.
Professional installation is recommended because correct surface preparation and precise alignment of the premolded stripe sections are essential for proper adhesion and a clean factory-style finished appearance.
