Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Louvered Hood Bird and Premolded Body Stripe Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 1983TA.
Designed for 1983 third-generation Trans Am models, this GM-authorized reproduction package combines the distinctive large louvered-style hood bird with matching exterior identification graphics, engine callouts and premolded lower-body striping.
The kit includes:
- One large louvered-style hood bird
- Two “5.0 Liter H.O.” hood decals
- Two Trans Am front-fender names
- Two sail-panel bird decals
- One premolded front-bumper stripe
- Two premolded rear-bumper stripes
- Four premolded body-side stripes
- Installation squeegee and instructions
Available graphic colors include:
- Gold
- Silver
- Black
- Charcoal for the 1983 Daytona 500 Pace Car
Phoenix Graphix also lists this package as physically compatible with 1982 models. However, customers completing a factory-correct restoration should verify their vehicle’s original graphics because standard 1982 Trans Am models generally used the smaller front nose bird instead of the large 1983 louvered-style hood graphic.
The charcoal version supplies the primary graphics and body stripes for the 1983 Daytona 500 Pace Car Edition. The “Official Pace Car,” “Daytona 500,” NASCAR and Pontiac windshield event graphics are not included and require the separate Phoenix Graphix 1983DD package.
This package does not include rear-bumper Trans Am identification lettering, alternate engine callouts, door-handle inserts, assembly-line labels or technical decals. Professional installation is recommended for accurate hood-bird positioning, stripe alignment and proper adhesion.
