Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1983-1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Louvered-Style Hood Bird Decal from Phoenix Graphix, part number 8384TA-1.
This officially licensed GM Restoration Parts reproduction restores the distinctive hood graphic used on applicable 1983 and 1984 third-generation Trans Am models equipped with the factory louvered power-bulge hood.
The graphic combines a horizontal louvered-stripe effect with the impression of a Firebird near the upper portion of the design. Its shape and proportions are formed specifically for the factory Trans Am hood bulge, recreating the recognizable factory-style appearance used during these two model years.
Available color selections include:
- Gold
- Silver
- Black
- Charcoal for the 1983 Daytona 500 Pace Car
Customers completing a factory-correct restoration should verify the vehicle’s original exterior color and graphics before ordering. The Charcoal version is intended for the 1983 Daytona 500 Pace Car application and should not be treated as a standard 1984 color.
This package contains the louvered-style hood bird only. The two “5.0 Liter H.O.” hood callouts, Trans Am fender names, sail-panel birds, nose bird, body stripes, bumper graphics, door-handle inserts and technical decals are not included.
The blue hood graphic used on the white 1984 Trans Am 15th Anniversary Edition is also not included. Anniversary Edition vehicles require the separate model-specific blue hood bird.
This decal is designed around the factory 1983-1984 Trans Am louvered power-bulge hood. Customers using a standard Firebird hood, Formula hood, later Trans Am hood or aftermarket hood should verify compatibility before ordering.
Professional installation is recommended because careful surface preparation, positioning and application are necessary to align the graphic correctly with the hood bulge and louvers.
