Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the following.
This ACC complete molded carpet and floor-mat package is designed for 1993-2002 Pontiac Firebird coupes equipped with a factory center console. It fits hardtop and T-top Firebird, Formula and Trans Am models.
The package combines a one-piece molded cut-pile carpet with factory-style mass backing, separate jute insulation padding and matching front and rear floor mats.
The complete package includes:
- One-piece molded cut-pile passenger-area carpet
- Approximately 45-mil EVA mass backing
- Separate jute insulation padding
- Factory-center-console split
- Two matching front floor mats
- Two matching rear passenger floor mats
- Selected carpet color throughout the package
- Finished floor-mat edges
- Carpet-gripping floor-mat backing
- No separate driver-side heel pad
The one-piece carpet covers the front and rear passenger floors and continues over the original carpeted rear hatch deck behind the folding rear seat. It does not cover the recessed storage compartment or replace the separate cargo-area side trim carpet.
Factory-Style Mass Backing
The mass backing is an approximately 45-mil-thick layer of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate bonded to the underside of the molded carpet.
Compared with standard lightweight backing, mass backing adds:
- Greater structure and rigidity
- Improved molded-shape retention
- Additional heat insulation
- Additional sound control
- A heavier, more substantial feel
- A smoother finished appearance after installation
Mass backing became common in later-model factory automotive carpet applications, making this configuration the closest of the available ACC options to the heavier factory-style construction used during this production period.
The separate jute insulation padding is installed against the floor pan before the molded carpet is positioned.
Matching Floor Mats
The package includes four matching removable floor mats:
- One driver-side front mat
- One passenger-side front mat
- Two rear passenger-compartment mats
The floor mats are produced in the carpet color selected for the molded carpet.
Logo embroidery is not identified as standard equipment with this package. Optional model-specific logo mats may be available separately.
A removable rear hatch trophy or deck mat is not included. The one-piece molded carpet itself covers the original carpeted deck behind the rear seat.
Console-Split Design
The molded carpet is manufactured with a center split for vehicles equipped with the factory console.
The console must be removed before installation so the carpet can be centered over the transmission tunnel and correctly positioned against the floor-pan contours.
The console split is not a completely finished installation opening. Final trimming and openings for the shifter, seats, seat belts, console and related interior components must be completed during installation.
The carpet can be used with automatic- or manual-transmission vehicles when the necessary openings are carefully cut for the vehicle’s original configuration.
Carpet Color Options
The complete carpet and floor-mat package is available in several ACC automotive carpet colors. The current Hawks selection menu provides the following general year guidance:
- Medium Gray 857: 1993-1995
- Graphite 7701: 1993-1999
- Opal 9196: 1998-1999
- Ebony Black 912: 2000-2002 specific, but may be used in earlier models
- Medium Gray / Pewter 9779: 2000-2002
- Medium Neutral 9402 / Medium Sand Gray 7623: 2000-2001 guidance
These year ranges are color-selection guidance rather than guarantees that every vehicle originally used the listed shade. Interior colors and factory terminology varied according to model year, trim level and production configuration.
Compare the available carpet samples with an original area protected from sunlight before ordering. Fading, previous carpet replacement, cleaning products, lighting and screen settings can affect color comparisons.

Carpet Construction
The cut-pile carpet is manufactured from automotive-grade nylon material and heat-and-pressure molded to follow the fourth-generation Firebird coupe floor-pan contours.
ACC uses the same carpet material for its molded flooring and matching floor mats, helping the pieces maintain a consistent color and texture throughout the interior.
This application is manufactured without a separate driver-side heel pad, matching the ACC design for 1993-2002 Firebird coupe carpet.
Installation Information
This carpet is premolded, but it is not ready to install directly from the box without test-fitting and trimming.
Before making permanent cuts:
- Remove the seats, center console, sill plates and related interior trim
- Remove the original carpet
- Inspect and clean the floor pan
- Test-fit the separate jute insulation padding
- Position the jute padding against the floor pan
- Center the molded carpet over the transmission tunnel
- Work outward toward the doors and rear hatch area
- Confirm that all molded contours are correctly positioned
- Mark the seat, seat-belt, shifter and console locations
- Cut each opening gradually
- Trim the outer perimeter only after completing the full test fit
- Test-fit the removed interior components before completing installation
Do not rely exclusively on the removed carpet as a cutting template. Original carpet can shrink, stretch or contain openings altered during a previous installation.
Professional installation is recommended if the installer is unfamiliar with premolded automotive carpet.
After installing the floor mats, confirm that the driver-side mat lies flat and cannot interfere with the accelerator, brake or clutch pedal. Do not stack the new mats over another floor-mat set.
Reproduction Information
This is a newly manufactured ACC reproduction carpet and floor-mat package. It is not used, New Old Stock or an original discontinued GM carpet set.
Carpet color, pile, density and texture may differ slightly from aged original material because the package is manufactured using automotive carpet available today.
Made in the USA.
