This ACC complete molded carpet and floor-mat package is designed for 1993-2002 Pontiac Firebird coupes equipped with a factory center console. It fits hardtop and T-top Firebird, Formula and Trans Am models.
The package combines a one-piece molded cut-pile carpet with standard lightweight backing, separate jute insulation padding and matching front and rear floor mats.
The complete package includes:
- One-piece molded cut-pile coupe carpet
- Standard lightweight carpet backing
- Separate jute insulation padding
- Factory-center-console split
- Two matching front floor mats
- Two matching rear passenger floor mats
- Selected carpet color throughout the package
- Finished floor-mat edges
- Carpet-gripping floor-mat backing
- No separate driver-side heel pad
This package does not include factory-style EVA mass backing.
Carpet Coverage
The one-piece molded carpet covers:
- Driver and passenger front floor areas
- Rear passenger floor area
- Transmission tunnel
- Original carpeted rear hatch deck behind the folding rear seat
It does not extend into the recessed storage compartment below the hatch floor and does not replace the separate carpeted side-trim pieces in the cargo area.
A removable trophy or rear deck mat is not included.
Lightweight Carpet Configuration
This package uses ACC’s standard lightweight carpet backing instead of the heavier bonded EVA mass backing.
The lightweight configuration offers:
- Easier handling during installation
- Less added vehicle weight
- Greater flexibility while positioning the carpet
- Lower cost than the mass-backed package
- Separate jute padding for cushioning and insulation
The separate jute insulation padding is installed against the floor pan before the molded carpet is positioned.
This lightweight configuration does not provide the same added rigidity, sound control or heat insulation as the approximately 45-mil EVA mass-backed version.
Customers seeking the heavier factory-style backing should select the mass-backed carpet and floor-mat package under part number 9302FBCARPETMASS.
Matching Floor Mats
The package includes four matching removable carpet floor mats:
- One driver-side front floor mat
- One passenger-side front floor mat
- Two rear passenger-compartment floor mats
The mats are produced in the carpet color selected for the molded flooring.
Logo embroidery is not identified as standard equipment with this package. Optional model-specific logo floor mats may be available separately.
The floor mats are finished replacement pieces and should not require trimming.
Console-Split Design
The carpet is manufactured with a center split for vehicles equipped with the factory center console.
The center console must be removed before installation so the carpet can be positioned over the transmission tunnel and aligned with the molded floor-pan contours.
The console split is not a completely finished installation opening. Final openings for the shifter, console, seats, seat belts and related interior components must be carefully cut during installation.
This carpet can be used with compatible automatic- or manual-transmission vehicles. The installer must position and trim the shifter opening for the vehicle’s original transmission and console arrangement.
Carpet Color Selection
The complete carpet and floor-mat package is available in multiple ACC automotive carpet colors. Select the desired color from the current ordering menu.
Common fourth-generation Firebird carpet selections include variations of:

Does not fit convertibles. Fourth-generation Firebird convertibles use a different floor pan and require the corresponding convertible carpet pattern.

Carpet Construction
The automotive-grade cut-pile carpet is heat-and-pressure molded to follow the contours of the fourth-generation Firebird coupe floor pan.
ACC uses matching carpet material for its molded flooring and floor mats, helping the pieces maintain a consistent color and texture throughout the passenger compartment.
The molded carpet is supplied with additional material around certain edges so the installer can position and trim it for the individual vehicle. Seat, seat-belt, shifter and console openings are not completely cut in advance.
This application is manufactured without a separate driver-side heel pad, matching the ACC design for 1993-2002 Firebird coupe carpet.

Installation Information
This carpet is premolded but requires complete test-fitting and final trimming during installation.
Before making permanent cuts:
- Remove the seats, center console, sill plates and related interior trim
- Remove the original carpet
- Inspect and clean the floor pan
- Test-fit the separate jute insulation padding
- Position the padding against the floor pan
- Center the molded carpet over the transmission tunnel
- Work outward toward the doors and rear hatch area
- Confirm that the molded contours are correctly positioned
- Mark the seat, seat-belt, shifter and console locations
- Cut each opening gradually
- Trim the outer perimeter only after completing the full test fit
- Test-fit the removed interior components before completing installation
Do not rely exclusively on the removed carpet as a cutting template. Original carpet can shrink, stretch or contain incorrectly positioned openings from a previous installation.
Professional installation is recommended if the installer is unfamiliar with premolded automotive carpet.
After installing the floor mats:
- Confirm that the driver-side mat lies flat
- Verify accelerator, brake and clutch-pedal clearance
- Make sure the mat cannot move beneath the pedals
- Confirm that the backing engages the vehicle carpet
- Position both rear mats fully within the rear footwells
- Do not stack the new mats over another floor-mat set
Reproduction Information
This is a newly manufactured ACC reproduction carpet and floor-mat package. It is not used, New Old Stock or an original discontinued GM carpet set.
Minor differences in carpet color, pile, texture, density and backing may exist compared with aged factory materials because currently available automotive carpet is used.
