The TREMEC TR-4050 features a 6.16:1 first gear and 6.03:1 reverse gear, providing improved low-speed control for trail driving and rock crawling. The 0.76:1 fifth gear overdrive helps reduce engine RPM during highway driving, making it suitable for Jeep owners looking to improve both off-road capability and long-distance drivability.
Rated for up to 600 lb-ft of torque, this conversion kit provides a significant drivetrain upgrade for Jeep Wrangler TJ applications. The transmission features fully synchronized gears, internal multi-rail shifting, helical-cut gears, tapered bearings, needle bearings, and a die-cast aluminum alloy housing for durable operation.
This complete conversion kit includes the TREMEC TR-4050 5-speed transmission, STX short-throw shifter, pilot bearing, hardware, transmission mount kit, reverse light wiring pigtail, lower shifter boot, shifter linkage components, transfer case clocking ring, transfer case brackets, transfer case stand-off, shifter adapter components, bellhousing kit, hydraulic clutch components, installation template, and instructions.
For automatic-to-manual conversions, additional components may include a flywheel, clutch assembly, and hydraulic clutch conversion parts depending on vehicle configuration. Optional components such as a cable shifter, slip yoke eliminator kit, and transmission fluids are available separately.
