This clear high-flow air lid is designed for 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird LS1 applications using a 100mm mass-airflow sensor. Its 104mm inside diameter and enlarged internal volume create a smoother transition from the horizontal panel filter to the larger MAF connection.

Designed Around a 100mm MAF
The 104mm outlet is intended to connect to a 100mm MAF rather than the factory 85mm meter.
High-Volume Lid Shape
The enlarged plenum provides a smoother airflow path between the flat air filter and round MAF inlet.
Clear Appearance
The transparent lid displays the filter and intake layout while retaining the application-specific low-profile form.

Model, trim and equipment availability can vary. Compare the original component, installation location and product photographs before ordering.
- Confirm a 100mm MAF and compatible coupler are present.
- Inspect the lower air box, filter and surrounding hood clearance.
- Remove the existing lid without allowing debris into the inlet.
- Seat the panel filter evenly in the lower box.
- Align and clamp the clear lid without placing the plastic under twist.
- Check MAF sealing, hood clearance and intake plumbing before startup.
Will this connect directly to the factory 85mm MAF?
No. The 104mm lid is designed around a 100mm MAF connection.
Why choose the clear version?
It provides the same 104mm airflow path while leaving the filter and lid interior visible.
What should WS6 and Firehawk owners verify?
Ram Air lower-box geometry can create outlet-side interference, so compare the complete intake layout before ordering.
What should be compared before ordering?
Compare the original component, vehicle configuration and product photographs.
Why is model year alone not enough?
Engine, trim and prior modifications can change the installed arrangement.
NOTE: 1998-2002 Camaro SS OWNERS: Factory and aftermarket SS hoods may experience rubbing on the hood. This can be addressed by putting some adhesive tape or the soft adhesive Velcro in the contact spot to prevent paint scuffing. This same problem occurs with SLP and other aftermarket lids as well.
NOTE: 1998-2002 Camaro Z28: Most Camaro Z28's have experienced no problems. A few have experienced minor rubbing. In two isolated Z28 applications, the customer was unable to close the hood. This can be rectified by modification of the lower airbox assembly and/or hood.
NOTE: 1998-2002 Firebird, WS6 and Firehawk: The MAF outlet side of lid will hit the lower air box assembly of RAM AIR equipped cars. This can be rectified by modification of the lower airbox assembly.
NOTE: Aftermarket Hoods (other than Camaro SS): No reported issues of any kind.
