Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Collector Edition Daytona 500 Pace Car 12-Piece Event Decal Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 2002DD.
Designed to recreate the special event graphics applied to Trans Am Collector Edition vehicles used during the 2002 Daytona 500, this GM-authorized reproduction package includes the door, front-fender, rear-quarter-panel, window and B-pillar identification decals.
The 12-piece package includes:
- Two “Daytona 500 — The Great American Race — February 17, 2002” door decals
- Two Whelen door decals
- Two NASCAR rear-quarter-panel decals
- Two Winston Cup Series front-fender decals
- One front-windshield PONTIAC decal
- One rear-window PONTIAC decal
- Two American-flag B-pillar decals
- Installation squeegee
- Installation instructions
The graphics are supplied exclusively in the correct multicolor event configuration. Alternate black, white, gold, silver, red, blue, charcoal or chrome color selections are not available under this part number.
This package contains the Daytona 500 Pace Car event graphics only. It does not include the standard 2002 Collector Edition exterior graphics, including:
- Hood feather stripes and bird details
- Door feather stripes
- Rear-quarter-panel feather stripes
- Ram Air hood-scoop decals
Those factory-style Collector Edition graphics are contained in the separately available Phoenix Graphix 2002CE kit.
The 2002DD package also does not include the physical emblems, Trans Am raised door-emblem overlays, front license-plate-cover bird, headlamp-door PONTIAC lettering, rear-bumper P-O-N-T-I-A-C inlays, rear taillight filler-panel graphics or technical decals.
These graphics were associated with Daytona 500 track and festival vehicles and were not installed on every production 2002 Collector Edition Trans Am. Installing this package on a standard Collector Edition does not establish or authenticate the vehicle as an original Daytona 500 Pace Car, parade car or festival car.
Customers restoring a documented event vehicle should compare surviving graphics, historical photographs and vehicle documentation before installation. Professional installation is recommended for accurate placement, consistent alignment and dependable adhesion.
