Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the 2006-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06/ZR1 2" Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers 7.0L/6.2L, Kooks 21612601. These Kooks 2" x 3" long tube headers are constructed from 304 stainless steel and are designed specifically for the C6 Corvette Z06 and ZR1. The current revision features Torca swivel-seal connections for improved fitment and includes stainless multi-layer gaskets, header bolts, swivel-seal clamps, an O2 extension harness and a transmission cooler line relocation bracket.
The C6 Z06 and ZR1 are serious performance cars, and these 2" long tube headers are built to match that attitude. With large 2.000" primary tubes feeding into 3" collectors, they give the LS7 and LS9 a more capable path for getting exhaust out of the engine. The 304 stainless construction looks right at home under a high-performance Corvette, while the Torca connections make a clean, solid connection to the matching exhaust system. Pair these with the correct Kooks X-pipe and you've got the makings of a serious exhaust setup that fits the personality of a Z06 or ZR1.
Kooks builds the headers from 304 stainless steel with 2.000" primary tubes and 3" collectors. The current design uses Torca swivel-seal connections intended to improve fitment and sealing at the header-to-X-pipe connection. The headers also feature oxygen-sensor ports and are supplied with the necessary installation components identified by Kooks.
These headers do not connect directly to the OEM exhaust. Kooks specifically states that the headers require a compatible Kooks X-pipe. This is an important consideration when planning a complete C6 Z06/ZR1 exhaust system.
Kooks currently lists 21612601 as built to order in North Carolina, with an estimated 4-6 week ship window. Hawks notes that some Kooks products can take longer to produce, so production time should be considered an estimate.
