This complete Kooks package combines 2" x 3" 304 stainless steel long tube headers, a High Output GREEN catted OEM X-pipe and competition-only front connection pipes into one Street/Strip setup. The kit is designed for the C6 Z06 7.0L LS7 and C6 ZR1 6.2L LS9 applications and includes the gaskets, oxygen-sensor extension harness, clamps and bolt kit required for installation.
For the Corvette gearhead who wants one car that can rip down the highway during the week and see the track on the weekend, this is where the Street/Strip package gets interesting. You get the big 2" primaries and 3" collectors you'd expect on a serious LS7 or LS9 build, but Kooks takes it a step further by giving you two exhaust configurations in the same package. Run the H.O. GREEN catted OEM X-pipe for your street setup, then when it's time to get serious at the track, the competition-only front connections are there to swap in. It's a setup aimed squarely at the guy who doesn't want to build his Z06 or ZR1 around just one kind of driving.
The headers feature 2" mandrel-bent primary tubes, 3" collectors with Kooks' patented scavenging spike, 3/8" thick laser-cut flanges and a dual-bolt-pattern header flange. The H.O. GREEN catalytic converters use 4-1/2" bodies with a 300-cell high-flow configuration. Kooks states that its H.O. GREEN cats are engineered for modern muscle applications making more than 750 RWHP.
The kit also includes the competition-only front connection pipes, allowing the customer to switch from the catted street configuration to the competition connection configuration for track-only use.
