Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the following ROTO-FAB Sound Tube Delete Elbow Upgrade Kit for an existing 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro SS ROTO-FAB cold-air intake system, part #1016-5027.
This upgrade replaces the ROTO-FAB intake elbow equipped with a factory sound-enhancement tube connection. The replacement elbow has a smooth exterior without a sound-tube provision, allowing the sound-enhancement tube to be removed from the intake system.
The kit also provides a block-off plate for the sound-tube opening at the firewall. This gives owners of an existing ROTO-FAB Camaro SS intake a cleaner intake arrangement while eliminating the connection between the intake and the factory sound-enhancement system.
Important Compatibility Requirement
Part #1016-5027 is an upgrade for Camaro SS owners who already have a compatible ROTO-FAB cold-air intake with the sound-enhancement tube provision.
This elbow is not compatible with the factory OEM air-intake system.

Installation Notes
Inspect the existing ROTO-FAB intake and confirm that it currently has the sound-enhancement tube connection before beginning installation.
Remove the existing sound-tube-equipped ROTO-FAB inlet elbow and disconnect the sound-enhancement tube. Install the smooth replacement elbow in the same orientation, then close the original sound-tube opening at the firewall using the block-off plate.
Confirm that the replacement elbow is properly seated and aligned with the surrounding intake components. After installation, start the engine and inspect the intake connections for air leaks, movement, unusual noises or contact with surrounding components.
Follow the current ROTO-FAB installation instructions. No engine calibration or tuning is listed as required for this upgrade.
