Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 14555 1995-1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS/Z28 & Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am 5.7L V8 Cat-Back Exhaust System, T-304 Stainless Steel, Borla. This complete 3-inch cat-back system is designed for fourth-generation F-Body cars equipped with dual catalytic converters and features an adjustable sound level, dual split-rear exits, and square polished stainless steel tips.
This is the setup for an LT1 F-Body that needs to sound like it has some attitude. The 3-inch tubing gives the 5.7L plenty of room to move exhaust, and the adjustable muffler design lets you tune the sound instead of just settling for whatever comes out of the box. Get into the throttle and let that LT1 work—the car gets a much more serious V8 voice without giving up the clean fit and look of a proper cat-back system.
The system uses straight-through, multi-core muffler technology and is constructed from T-304 stainless steel with smooth mandrel bends. Dual 3.38" x 3" square, angle-cut intercooled polished tips finish off the rear of the system. The included block-off plates allow the sound pressure level to be adjusted to suit the car and the owner's preference.
Part 14555 is specifically for 1995-1997 Camaro SS, Camaro Z28, Firebird, Formula Firebird, and Trans Am 5.7L V8 applications equipped with dual catalytic converters. It fits automatic and manual transmissions, rear-wheel drive, and coupe or convertible body styles. A 1995 car with a single catalytic converter requires a different system.
