Product Description:
Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 14888 1984-1992 Chevrolet Camaro SS/Z28 & Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am 5.0L/5.7L V8 Cat-Back Exhaust System, T-304 Stainless Steel, Borla. This 3-inch cat-back system is designed for third-generation F-Body V8 applications and includes the connecting pipes, mufflers, adapters, hardware, and polished stainless steel exhaust tips.
If you're building a third-gen F-Body, this is the kind of exhaust that makes the car feel like a performance car again. The 3-inch tubing gives the V8 a serious exhaust path, while the straight-through mufflers let the small-block breathe and give it a deeper, more aggressive tone. Whether it's a carbureted 5.0, tuned-port 5.0, or 5.7L swap, this setup has the hardware and plumbing to get the exhaust out of the way and let the V8 do its thing.
The system is built from T-304 stainless steel with smooth mandrel bends and all-welded construction. It uses a dual split-rear exit with polished 2.5-inch round tips on each tailpipe. The sound level can also be adjusted using the included block-off plates, giving you some control over how rowdy the car sounds.
Part 14888 is listed for 1984-1992 Chevrolet Camaro SS and Z28, along with Pontiac Firebird, Formula Firebird, and Trans Am applications equipped with 5.0L or 5.7L V8 engines. The system is designed for rear-wheel-drive automatic and manual transmission cars and includes adapters to accommodate different catalytic-converter outlet pipe diameters. Some original pipe from the catalytic converter outlet must be retained to mate with the supplied adapters.
