The A41 4L60E uses a GM 4L60E / 4L65E aftermarket replacement transmission platform featuring electronically controlled shifting, lockup converter operation, and four forward gears. Gear ratios of 3.06, 1.63, 1.00, and 0.70 provide improved acceleration and reduced engine RPM during highway cruising.
This PerfectFit™ kit is available in three performance stages to match different vehicle combinations. Stage 1 supports up to 450 lb-ft of torque, Stage 2 supports up to 550 lb-ft of torque, and Stage 3 supports up to 650 lb-ft of torque capacity for higher horsepower and heavier-duty applications.
The A41 4L60E is an excellent replacement for older automatic transmissions including the 904, 727, 518, Powerglide, TH350, TH400, 200R4, and 700R4. Modern overdrive technology provides smoother acceleration, improved shift quality, and up to a 30% reduction in cruising RPM.
