This complete automatic-to-manual conversion package allows classic GM B-O-P A-Body owners to replace their factory automatic transmission with modern TREMEC TKX 5-speed overdrive performance.
AUTOMATIC TO MANUAL CONVERSION KIT
This kit is specifically designed for vehicles originally equipped with an automatic transmission and includes the required components to convert the vehicle to a manual transmission setup. Additional components such as clutch, flywheel, pedals, hydraulic clutch system, and manual transmission tunnel components are included or available depending on application requirements.

Designed for 1968-1972 GM B-O-P A-Body platforms, this TREMEC TKX PerfectFit™ Conversion Kit fits Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac applications including Cutlass, Skylark, GS, 442, GTO, Tempest, and LeMans models.
The TREMEC TKX 5-Speed is a compact, high-strength manual transmission designed for modern performance while maintaining classic vehicle drivability. With 600 lb-ft torque capacity and 7,500 rpm shift capability, the TKX provides excellent street performance with improved acceleration, lower cruising RPM, better fuel economy, reduced drivetrain wear, and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness.
The TKX is available with multiple gear ratio options including wide ratio gearing with 3.27, 1.98, 1.34, 1.00, and 0.72 gears, or close ratio gearing with 2.87, 1.89, 1.28, 1.00, and 0.68 or 0.81 overdrive options.
This PerfectFit™ kit includes the components needed for an automatic-to-manual conversion including the TREMEC TKX 5-Speed transmission, STX Shifters®, pilot bearing, flywheel, clutch assembly, bellhousing, pedals, hydraulic clutch components, tunnel hump, driveshaft and slip yoke, crossmember components, installation hardware, and detailed instructions with lifetime technical support.
