Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1974-1981 Camaro Firebird Trans Am Off White / Oyster Foam-Backed Perforated Vinyl Headliner Material, Material Only, Acme 74-1513P-FBH2. This replacement headliner material is intended for recovering a serviceable original or replacement headliner board in second-generation Camaro, Firebird, Formula and Trans Am interior restoration projects.
The perforated vinyl surface recreates the appearance commonly associated with factory-style 1970s and early 1980s GM headliners, while the foam backing provides the cushioned layer needed between the vinyl covering and headliner board. The Off White / Oyster color works well for vehicles originally equipped with a light-colored overhead interior or for restorers creating a coordinated custom interior.
This listing includes the foam-backed perforated vinyl covering material only. A headliner board, sun visors, visor material, moldings, trim panels, mounting hardware and adhesive are not included. The existing board must remain structurally sound, dry and suitable for recovering.

Application note: Intended for vehicles with an existing recoverable headliner board. Inspect the board and confirm the vehicle’s roof configuration before ordering.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Remove the headliner board from the vehicle and carefully strip away the original covering, deteriorated foam and adhesive residue. The board must be clean, dry and structurally sound before installing the new material.
Dry-fit and center the material before applying adhesive. Use a high-temperature automotive headliner adhesive or contact cement compatible with foam-backed vinyl. Work gradually from the center outward to reduce wrinkles, trapped air and uneven stretching. Trim the excess material only after the adhesive has properly bonded.
Professional installation is recommended when the original board is brittle, warped, cracked or previously repaired. Colors displayed on electronic screens may differ slightly from the actual material, and reproduction colors are intended to be close to the original interior shade rather than an exact match to aged factory components.
