Restore the complete rear appearance of your Formula or Trans Am with this comprehensive OER reproduction tail-lamp lens and fuel-door kit. It includes the driver- and passenger-side tail-lamp lenses and the center fuel-door assembly with its operating hinge and tension spring.
The injection-molded lenses are manufactured to duplicate the original fit, configuration, and appearance. The outer tail-lamp lenses feature the correct smoked finish, factory-style black accent detailing, and authentic OEM-style markings. Inner red stop-lamp lenses and inner clear backup-lamp lenses are supplied for both sides.
The center fuel door is the no-emblem style, making this kit appropriate for vehicles originally equipped with a rear fuel door without the Firebird bird emblem. No silver or gold fuel-door emblem is included.
OER specifies five lens-to-housing retaining clips with this kit. The tail-lamp housings, bulb sockets, wiring, and bulbs are separate.
OER officially catalogs R278142 for 1979-1981 Trans Am models using the no-emblem fuel-door configuration. The smoked lenses and fuel-door design also interchange with Formula models equipped with the same rear lamp arrangement. This kit is not appearance-correct for Base Firebird or Esprit models with the standard rear lamp design.
