Restore the center of your Formula or Trans Am rear fuel door with this OER reproduction Firebird bird emblem. It features the correct silver-and-black color combination and is shaped to fit the recessed emblem area found on the applicable 1979-1981 smoked fuel door.
This emblem replaces an original that has become faded, scratched, cracked, discolored, damaged, or missing. Two-sided adhesive tape is supplied for installation within the recessed area.
Part #5973147 can be combined with OER fuel-door assembly #5973205. It is also the silver bird emblem used with complete fuel-door assembly #R278147 and silver-emblem tail-lamp and fuel-door kit #R278143.
This silver-and-black emblem is appearance-correct only for applicable 1979-1981 Firebird Formula and Trans Am models originally equipped with the silver rear bird emblem. It is not appearance-correct for Base Firebird or Esprit models. Trans Am applications originally equipped with a gold-and-black rear bird emblem require part #5973148.
