Restore the factory appearance of your Trans Am’s rear fuel door with this OER reproduction Firebird bird emblem. The emblem features the correct gold-and-black color combination and is shaped to fit the recessed emblem area in the center of the 1979-1981 Trans Am fuel-filler door.
This emblem is an excellent replacement for an original that is faded, cracked, scratched, discolored, damaged, or missing. Two-sided adhesive tape is supplied for a clean installation within the recessed fuel-door area.
Part #5973148 can be installed on OER fuel door #5973205. It is also the gold bird emblem supplied with complete OER fuel-door assembly #R278148.
This gold-and-black emblem is appearance-correct specifically for 1979-1981 Trans Am models originally equipped with the gold rear bird emblem. It is not appearance-correct for Formula, Base Firebird, or Esprit models requiring a different emblem color or rear-panel appearance.
