Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1985-1986 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Large Outline Hood Bird Full Decal and Stripe Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 8586TA.
Designed specifically for 1985 and 1986 third-generation Trans Am models, this GM-authorized reproduction package includes the large outline-style hood bird, exterior identification graphics, engine callouts and lower-body striping needed to restore the vehicle’s factory-style appearance.
The kit includes:
- One large outline-style hood bird
- Two sail-panel bird decals
- Two Trans Am front-fender names
- One Trans Am front-bumper name
- One Trans Am rear-bumper name
- Two 5.0 Liter H.O. front-fender engine decals
- Complete lower-body square-dot fade striping
- Complete lower-body accent striping
- Installation squeegee and instructions
Available color and accent combinations include:
- Gold Metallic with Gold Ochre accents
- Silver Metallic with Red or Blue accents
- Charcoal Metallic with Red or Orange accents
- Dark Brown Metallic with Ochre accents for gold cars
- Black Metallic with Red accents as a custom combination
Select the correct primary graphic color and accent-stripe color for the vehicle before ordering. The graphics and striping are manufactured using automotive-grade 3M vinyl for a crisp, durable and factory-style appearance.
The included engine-identification decals read “5.0 Liter H.O.” The alternate “5.0 Liter F.I.” fender decals are sold separately and should be ordered for fuel-injected applications requiring that designation.
This package includes the large outline-style hood bird. Customers needing the small nose-bird version should select the alternate 8586TA-2 kit. The large hood bird is intended for the appropriate factory-style flat Trans Am hood and is not designed for the Formula bulge hood.
Professional installation is recommended because proper surface preparation, stripe alignment and hood-bird positioning are essential for correct adhesion and the best finished appearance.
