Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Large Outline Hood Bird Exterior Decal Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 1987TA.
Designed specifically for applicable 1987 third-generation Trans Am models equipped with the flat vented hood, this GM-authorized reproduction package restores the large outline-style hood bird and matching exterior identification graphics.
Many 1987 Trans Am models used the large hood bird carried over from the 1985-1986 graphic design, while other vehicles received the smaller nose-cone bird. Customers should verify their vehicle’s original graphics package before ordering.
The kit includes:
- One large outline-style hood bird
- Two sail-panel bird decals
- Two outline-style Trans Am front-fender names
- One outline-style Trans Am front-bumper name
- One outline-style Trans Am rear-bumper name
- Two outline-style 5.0 LITER H.O. engine-designation decals
- Installation squeegee and instructions
Available colors include:
- Gold Metallic
- Silver Metallic
- Charcoal Metallic
- Dark Brown Metallic for applicable gold cars
- Black Metallic as a custom color
Select the correct color for the vehicle before ordering. The large outline-style hood bird is intended for the appropriate flat vented Trans Am hood and will not properly fit a raised Formula bulge hood.
This package includes the 5.0 LITER H.O. engine-designation decals. The 5.7 LITER F.I. engine decals are sold separately for applicable vehicles.
The smaller nose-cone bird, Fuel Injection door-handle emblem inserts, rear Pontiac name-and-bird graphic, body pinstriping, assembly-line decals and technical decals are not included.
Professional installation is strongly recommended because the large hood graphic requires careful surface preparation, positioning and application for proper alignment and adhesion.
