Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1998-2002 Pontiac Firebird / Formula / Trans Am Large Hood Bird and Sail-Panel Bird Decal Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 9802FBTA.
Designed for fourth-generation Firebird models without a Ram Air or WS6 hood, this GM-authorized reproduction graphics package adapts the large outline-style hood bird and smaller sail-panel birds associated with 1985-1987 Trans Am styling to the later 1998-2002 body design.
The package includes:
- One large outline-style hood bird measuring approximately 38 inches wide by 41 inches tall
- Two matching sail-panel bird decals
- Installation squeegee
- Installation instructions

- Gold Metallic
- Silver Metallic

- Dark Brown Metallic

Correct applications include:

This decal is designed for the standard non-Ram Air hood. It will not fit the raised factory Ram Air or WS6 hood configuration. Customers should verify their hood style before ordering.
The large hood bird was not a factory-installed graphic on standard 1998-2002 Firebird models. This package is a custom, retro-inspired appearance upgrade based on the outline-style bird used during the third-generation Trans Am era. Installing the decals does not identify or authenticate the vehicle as a special factory edition.
This package does not include the front-bumper bird, rear-bumper P-O-N-T-I-A-C lettering, raised Trans Am door-emblem overlays, Firebird or Formula door names, driver-side headlamp-door PONTIAC lettering, windshield decals, rear filler-panel graphics, physical emblems or technical decals.
Professional installation is strongly recommended because of the hood graphic’s large dimensions. The painted surface must be fully cured and free from wax, polish, grease, adhesive residue and other contamination before application.
