Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1987-1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula / Formula 350 Premolded Three-Color Lower-Body Solid Stripe Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 8688FSTP.
Designed for applicable two-tone 1987 and 1988 third-generation Firebird Formula and Formula 350 models, this GM-authorized reproduction stripe package follows the factory lower accent-paint dividing line around the vehicle.
Unlike universal roll striping that must be measured, shaped and trimmed during installation, these screen-printed stripes are premolded for their specific body-panel locations. The three-color solid-stripe design recreates the original factory-style appearance while helping simplify positioning and alignment.
The seven-piece stripe package includes:
- Two premolded front-bumper stripes
- Two premolded body-side stripes
- Two premolded rear-quarter-panel stripes
- One premolded rear-bumper stripe
- Installation squeegee and instructions
Two factory-style color combinations are available:
- Orange / Silver / Black
- Blue / Silver / Charcoal
Select the combination that matches the vehicle’s original paint and graphics before ordering. These stripes apply over the two-tone paint line used on applicable Formula and Formula 350 models.
This stripe package is not required for vehicles originally equipped with RPO WX1, which deleted the lower accent paint and associated dividing stripes. The vehicle’s original upper and lower paint codes can be checked on the factory RPO label located in the console or rear cargo-storage area.
This package contains the lower-body stripes only. Formula or Formula 350 identification decals, engine callouts, sail-panel birds, front-bumper bird, rear Pontiac name-and-bird graphic, door-handle inserts, assembly-line labels and technical decals are not included.
Customers completing a full exterior restoration will also require the appropriate Formula identification package, such as the 8790F kit for 5.0-liter Formula applications or the 8790F350 kit for Formula 350 applications.
Professional installation is recommended because correct surface preparation and precise alignment with the vehicle’s two-tone paint break are essential for proper adhesion and a factory-style finished appearance.
