The SST A41 4L60E Automatic Conversion Kit provides a modern overdrive transmission upgrade for 1988-1998 Chevrolet and GMC C-Series pickup trucks. Designed for OBS-era GM trucks, this kit replaces older automatic transmissions with electronically controlled 4-speed performance technology for improved acceleration, smoother shifting, and lower highway cruising RPM.
The A41 4L60E conversion kit is available in multiple torque capacity stages, supporting up to 450 lb-ft, 550 lb-ft, or 650 lb-ft of torque. This system combines a GM 4L60E / 4L65E aftermarket replacement transmission with the COMPUSHIFT Sport electronic controller to provide precise shift control and modern drivability.

This A41 4L60E conversion kit is designed for 1988-1998 Chevrolet and GMC C-Series trucks. This is a basic builder's kit and cutting and/or fabrication may be required depending on vehicle configuration, drivetrain combination, and installation requirements.
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
The A41 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission provides improved performance and highway drivability through electronically controlled shifting and overdrive gearing. With a 0.70:1 fourth gear ratio, the transmission reduces engine RPM during cruising while improving overall driving comfort.
The A41 transmission uses the following gear ratios:
- First Gear: 3.06
- Second Gear: 1.63
- Third Gear: 1.00
- Fourth Gear Overdrive: 0.70
This transmission conversion provides an upgrade path from older automatic transmissions including the Powerglide, TH350, TH400, 200R4, 700R4, and other non-electronic automatic transmissions. The included COMPUSHIFT Sport controller allows adjustment of shift points, shift feel, torque converter lockup operation, and speedometer calibration.
The COMPUSHIFT Sport controller offers Bluetooth connectivity with Android and iOS devices, tablets, PCs, and Macs. The system includes plug-and-play connectors, adjustable programming options, and compatibility with many factory and aftermarket engine controllers without wire splicing.
