1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro / Pontiac Firebird Trans Am LS1 104mm Air Lid and 100mm MAF Kit New Hawks Motorsports CBW-100MAF-BK/HT-104AIRLID

Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the following.

Upgrade the intake lid and mass airflow assembly on your 1998–2002 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird / Trans Am with the LS1 V8. This new performance kit combines a 104mm air lid, a 100mm MAF housing with an OEM GM LS3/LS7 sensor, an adapter harness and a flexible intake coupler.

PCM/ECM recalibration is required. This MAF setup will not operate correctly with stock engine programming. Review hood and lower-airbox clearance before installation.

Fitment note: Application is limited to LS1-equipped cars. Camaro SS and some Z28 hood combinations may contact the lid. Ram Air-equipped Firebird, WS6 and Firehawk applications require lower-airbox clearance modification as described below.

• One 104mm air lid in your selected Black or Clear color.
• One 100mm billet MAF housing in your selected Black or Silver finish, with 5:1 honeycomb screen.
• One OEM GM LS3/LS7 MAF sensor.
• One LS1-to-LS3-style MAF adapter harness.
• One flexible 4-inch intake coupler with T-bolt clamps.

The 104mm lid connects to the 100mm MAF assembly through the supplied flexible coupler. The billet housing provides a larger airflow-measurement passage, while the honeycomb screen supports metering at the sensor. The USA-made construction claim applies to the billet MAF housing.

Choose the lid color and MAF finish separately when ordering. Gallery photos show alternative configurations and MAF components; your order supplies the selected combination. The OEM GM sensor is one component of this Hawks performance kit.

Calibration: Arrange the required PCM/ECM MAF-curve recalibration with a qualified tuner. Connecting the adapter harness alone does not make the sensor compatible with the stock calibration. Confirm the coupler joints and electrical connections are secure before operation.

Camaro SS: Factory and aftermarket SS hoods may rub the lid. The source recommends adhesive tape or soft adhesive Velcro at a minor contact point to protect the paint. Check actual hood clearance before closing it fully.

Camaro Z28: Clearance varies. Some cars may need lower-airbox and/or hood modification; the source reports isolated cases where the hood would not close.

Ram Air Firebird / WS6 / Firehawk: The MAF outlet side of the lid can contact the lower airbox. Modify the interference area as shown in the supplied gallery diagram so the lid can sit flush and clip into the lower base properly. The diagram illustrates the clearance area; it is not a dimensioned cutting template.

Other aftermarket hoods: Hawks reports no issues in the source listing, but confirm clearance on the individual car before final assembly.

Can I use this MAF kit with the stock tune?
No. The factory PCM/ECM MAF curve must be recalibrated for this housing and sensor combination.

Can I select the lid color independently of the MAF finish?
Yes. The current choices are Black or Clear for the air lid and Black or Silver for the MAF finish.

Does the kit supply the sensor and adapter harness?
Yes. An OEM GM LS3/LS7 MAF sensor and an LS1-to-LS3-style adapter harness are included with the 100mm housing.

What should I check on a Camaro SS or Z28?
Check hood-to-lid clearance carefully. SS hoods may rub, and some Z28 combinations require lower-airbox or hood modification.

Why does a Ram Air car need an airbox clearance check?
The lid outlet can interfere with the Ram Air lower airbox. The gallery diagram identifies the area that needs clearance so the lid can seat and clip into the base.
