Refresh the driver door on your 1970–1975 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird with this OER reproduction exterior handle. Manufactured from die-cast zinc with chrome plating, this left-hand assembly measures 6-1/4 inches long and comes assembled with its spring mechanism and door-handle gasket.
More than 50 years of everyday use can leave an original handle scratched, pitted, or mechanically worn. Replacing a deteriorated handle brings a bright finishing detail back to the driver door while addressing wear within the handle assembly.
A repaint provides a convenient opportunity to replace the handle. Removing the old assembly before surface preparation allows access to the paint beneath it. Install the replacement after the paint cures for a clean appearance around the housing without tape-off marks or overspray edges.
