Restore door support on your second-generation Camaro or Firebird with this OER reproduction lower door hinge. Made from heavy-duty stamped steel, it replaces the original lower hinge and fits either the driver or passenger side.
Decades of opening and closing these long, heavy doors can leave the hinges worn. Excessive hinge play can contribute to sagging, uneven panel gaps, and difficulty closing the door. Replacing a worn lower hinge, followed by proper alignment, helps the door move and close more consistently.
Bodywork and repainting provide a useful opportunity to inspect both hinges and establish door alignment before the final finish. Check the upper hinge as well, since wear at either position can affect how the door sits in its opening.
