Restore passenger-door support with this OER reproduction upper hinge for 1970–1981 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models. This right-hand hinge features cast-steel construction and an attached tension spring.
Decades of use can leave the original hinges worn, contributing to door sag, uneven gaps, and difficult closing. Replacing a worn upper hinge and properly aligning the door helps restore consistent movement. Inspect the lower hinge at the same time, since wear at either position affects door fit.
Bodywork is a practical time to address hinge wear and establish panel alignment before final paint. Correcting the door’s fit early helps avoid having to readjust it after the exterior finish is complete.
