Product Description:
Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1974-1981 Camaro Firebird Trans Am Buckskin Foam-Backed Perforated Vinyl ABS Hardtop Headliner Board with Upper Seat Belt Retractor Cutouts, Acme AFH21-FBH3.
Replace a sagging, warped, cracked or deteriorated original headliner with this complete molded ABS replacement headliner board. The board is pre-covered in Buckskin foam-backed perforated vinyl, providing a finished factory-style appearance without requiring the covering material to be purchased and installed separately.
Acme identifies FBH3 as Buckskin within its foam-backed perforated vinyl color family. Buckskin is a distinct warm tan interior shade and must not be confused with Ginger, Camel Tan, Neutral Tan or Doeskin. Acme’s official catalog identifies AFH21-FBH3 as the Buckskin version of the 1974-1981 Camaro and Firebird ABS headliner-board assembly.
The vacuum-formed ABS board provides a durable replacement for an original fiberboard-style headliner damaged by age, moisture, heat or failed adhesive. The board follows the hardtop roof contour, works with factory-style attachment locations and includes the upper rear seat belt retractor cutouts used with the applicable second-generation F-body roof configuration.
The factory-style perforated vinyl surface is bonded to foam backing for a padded finished appearance. Openings for the dome light, sun visor brackets and related mounting points are formed in the ABS board but may remain concealed beneath the covering until they are exposed during installation.
This listing includes the complete pre-covered headliner board. Sun visors, visor brackets, surrounding roof trim, dome-light components and mounting hardware are not included.

The AFH21-FBH3 assembly is cataloged for 1974-1981 Camaro and Firebird applications and is supplied as a hardtop-shaped ABS board covered in Buckskin foam-backed perforated vinyl.
Color application note: Buckskin is most directly documented as a factory-style color for many 1974-1976 applications. The board also fits compatible 1977-1981 models, but Buckskin may represent an interior color conversion rather than a factory-correct color on later vehicles. Confirm the vehicle’s original trim code when factory originality is required.
Roof-style warning: This listing is for the hardtop or solid-roof configuration. The board arrives formed in the hardtop roof shape and should not be represented as a pre-cut T-top headliner.
Seat-belt configuration warning: The AFH21 board includes upper rear seat belt retractor cutouts. Verify that the vehicle uses this seat-belt and roof arrangement before ordering.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Remove the sun visors, visor brackets, side roof moldings, rear headliner trim, dome-light assembly and other components retaining the original headliner. Preserve all reusable screws, clips, brackets and trim because these pieces are not normally included with the replacement board.
Carefully remove the original headliner and test-fit the new ABS board before cutting the Buckskin covering. Confirm that the upper seat belt retractor cutouts, roof contour, visor mounts and surrounding trim locations align correctly.
The ABS board contains pre-cut accessory openings beneath the covering material. After positively identifying a required opening, make a small X-shaped cut through the vinyl at the center. Fold the material toward the back of the board and secure it to create a clean finished edge.
Position and center the board before fully tightening the sun visor brackets and surrounding trim. Do not force the headliner into place or overtighten the mounting hardware, as excessive pressure could damage the ABS board, covering material or original interior moldings.
Although the manufacturer provides instructions for trimming the hardtop-shaped AFH21 board for certain T-top vehicles, multiple factory and aftermarket T-top systems were used. Professional installation is recommended before permanently modifying the board for a T-top application.
Electronic displays, photography lighting, aged original trim and production dye lots can affect perceived color. Acme advises that exact color matches are not guaranteed between dye lots, so a physical material sample should be compared with the existing Buckskin interior when color accuracy is critical.
