One line lock kit containing:
- Waterproof electrical solenoid
- Activation switch
- Plug-in wires
- CNC-bent steel brake lines with OE-style fittings
- Installation instructions
The electrically controlled solenoid retains hydraulic pressure in the front brake circuit after the driver applies the brakes and activates the switch. Releasing the switch releases the retained pressure. This lets the front brakes remain applied during rear-tire warm-up.
For manual-transmission staging, the system can also help keep the car from rolling out of the starting-line beams. The vehicle-specific kit uses preformed steel plumbing and is listed as compatible with the original anti-lock braking and traction-control systems.
Use the supplied installation instructions for brake-line connections, solenoid mounting, and switch wiring. Confirm the vehicle year, engine, and existing brake layout before installation. Have a technician familiar with hydraulic brake systems review any nonstandard plumbing.
Is this kit limited to V8 cars?
No. The listed application covers both V6 and V8 versions of the 1998–2002 Camaro and Firebird.
Does it work with the original ABS and traction control?
Hawks lists compatibility with both factory systems. Confirm the setup separately if the brake system has been modified.
Which brakes does the solenoid hold?
It holds pressure in the front brake circuit until the activation switch is released.
Can it help with manual-transmission staging?
Yes. The product is described for holding the car in the starting-line beams as well as rear-tire warm-up.
Are the brake lines already formed for the car?
The kit supplies CNC-bent steel lines configured for the F-Body application, with fittings that match the original connection style.
