MXP Airbox and Intake Tube

The AIRAID MXP airbox places the filter in the original air-intake location while helping separate it from hot engine-compartment air. Its formed lid allows access to the filter for inspection and servicing.

Air exits the filter through a tuned velocity stack before entering the computer-designed intake tube. The black tube is manufactured from high-density cross-linked polyethylene, a material that allows application-specific internal shapes while resisting heat transfer better than many metal intake tubes.

Yellow SynthaFlow Filter

Part #254-333 currently uses a yellow AIRAID SynthaFlow filter manufactured from cotton gauze combined with non-woven synthetic material. The filter is pre-oiled, washable and reusable.

This filter design is intended to provide high airflow while retaining effective filtration. The current replacement filter is AIRAID part #724-476.

Filter condition should be inspected periodically. Vehicles operated in dusty, dirty or severe conditions will require more frequent inspection and servicing.

Installation Notes
